You mean to type XK-1c, but yes, in new boards, that may be the lowest priced true waterfall, now that the Numa Organ 2 appears to be discontinued, though you may still find some new stock around.

Yes, I meant the XK-1c.
I ended up with a 61 key NE6. Do all the boards with 61 keys have shorter keys (front of key to fall board)? What about 73 key boards are they standard piano length or a different size? Sorry for the novice question but most every thing I've played has been a piano of one sort or the other.

Yes, the waterfall actions tend to be a little bit shorter than hammer action keyboards. This is matching up to the general measurements and differences between waterfall organ keyboards and piano keyboards.

The variable isn't how many keys the board has, the variable is what kind of keys they have. Not counting boards that are specifically designed to have smaller-than-standard keys (i.e. "mini-keys"), you'll find that keys that have some kind of hammer mechanism (aka "fully weighted") are all just shy of 6" long, as on an acoustic piano (e.g. all the HA and HP models from Nord). Currently, the smallest boards with this kind of action have 73 keys, though there have been models as small as 61 keys. Boards without a hammer mechanism (semi-weighted, unweighted) come in a variety of lengths. A few are the same length as the hammer action boards, but almost all are shorter. The Fatar TP/8O, which is one of the most widely used non-hammer actions that use "waterfall" shaped keys (no lip), are nearly the shortest at about 5 1/4", and this is what Nord uses in all their waterfall action boards. But non-hammer actions aren't limited to boards with 61 or fewer keys, you'll find boards of up to 88 non-hammer keys as well.
