- Start and End controls for sample playback position, like the Akai S612. (Sequential Prophet X has this).
- Reverse Sample button.
- Two oscillators per layer, can be any type.
- Wavetable scanning.
- Sample to Wavetable conversion.
- A second LFO, like the Wave 1.
- Cross-mod samples, like the Wave 1.
- Morph button "glide" time to smoothly change parameters, not just an instant change.

As the Wave is typically a top board (above a piano type bottom board like a Stage or Nord Piano), I miss the organ part. Perhaps as a fifth part.
Now I need to midi from the wave 2 to my NS3 get a piano bottom and Hammond top setup.

Seamless transitions...

Lol. Wave 3 will be here in like 2030?

I doubt there will ever be a Wave 3, but I would love to see a new instrument based on the Wave 2 architecture:

1.76 key waterfall keybed
2. 6 slots instead of 4
3. All existing engines plus Piano and Organ from the Stage.

I would never need another instrument.

Another idea: Group modulation. For example, you could have the LFO from any layer send modulation to other layers if desired. This could even be an OS update to the Wave 2 maybe, and it would instantly give it a lot more programming options.

- Free split points
- Midi channel settings per program
- midi channel for layer group
- sustain pedal on/off per layer
- simple sequencer / melodic steps in arp
- simple extern section : ability to send PC/CC on program load
- simple drums engine / layer ? (with the melodic apr /step sequencer, would be easy to program)
- side chain on compressor with the drum layer
