I wonder if there is / will be, the ability to have a modification done to the Nord Wave 2 to allow the addition of more than 1GB of internal sample memory...
As memory is so cheap these days, it seems surprising that this instrument that allows sample import, only gives you 1GB.
Just think what would be possible if you could add up a 1TB of sample RAM. It would be amazing.
Thoughts?
Possibility of Additional Sample RAM Being Able To Be Added?

Not possibile and the RAM used on Nord Wave is not the same as the one for computers, it is fast SRAM (or Flash RAM) specific for the DSP architecture used by Nord (as discussed in other similar threads also in the past) and is soldered on the mainboard.

Re: Possibility of Additional Sample RAM Being Able To Be Ad
The memory is actually, in a way, a lot more than 1GB due to Nord's audio compression. It's closer to 2.5 or 3 GB. Yes, I get your point, it's still small compared to a computer, phone, etc. When we have other hardware like the Prophet X with a 200GB SSD, people installing multi hundred GB SSD's into their Kronos (or so I heard,) and even a drum module that can have up to 64 GB of samples streamable from an SSD card in real time (2Box DrumIt,) it's about time that this changes. But honestly unless Nord allowed for multiple velocity layers in the sample format and/or opened up the .npno format for users I can't see how having a vastly larger memory size would matter much at present.
Bottom line is it would be great but it won't happen.
