Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a Nord Piano 5,
and would like to ask why the red and green lights are flashing together on the Piano's or Synth Sample Layer light?
Thank you

Re: why the red and green lights are flashing together?
Hi,
I can't see the video, but from NP5 manual
Combining Layer A and B
two Sample Synth sounds can be combined by holding down the button for the active layer and pressing once on the other layer button. the layer currently focused for editing is indicated by a blinking led.
(same for Piano, maybe this is what you are talking about)?

Hlaalu wrote:From the picture they don't seem green but yellow. Combining green and red together is Nord's way to produce yellow. The Stage has yellow only for specific features (live mode, flexible splits...). Not sure about the Piano 5 though, but for combining panels, the Stage uses red.
On NP5 manual the Layer leds are indicated as yellow in fact and as you say probably yellow is obtained by fast switching between red and green (visible in a video due to probably being a multiple of the FPS, but not by human eye or in a photo)
@popoxuan: check the manual

Not that this is the most relevant thing in the world, but just to be nerdy for a while... I don't think it's a matter of fast switching but that two separate LEDs, one red and one green, are lit up side by side. I think they can actually be seen on the stage, by looking closely.
That could also be the case, you are right it is how it is actually; but since the OP was talking about "red-green flashing together" (and I couldn't still see the video) it made me think of that other possibility...

Thanks for helping to solve the problem.
I always thought that Piano 5 would have a red light like the LEAD A1 or Other Keyboard of Nord.
