hi all, (YES I'VE READ THE MANUAL).... but... if I like a bunch of different sound presets that I want to use at a gig, how do I save those sounds into 1 button presets so that I'm not constantly scrolling through looking for them between songs?
in other words, is there a way for me to save my favorite sounds so that they're just an easy button away?
thank you!

Re: How do you assign presets for a gig?
It looks like you have a Nord Piano 5. Check out the "Organize" function (page 17 of the manual), where you can easily drag and drop Programs into whichever order you like. This can be done within the instrument itself or using the Nord Sound Manager. You may want to rename the Programs as needed if you're writing them based on song titles or similar.
I use a Nord Stage 3 and the Organize feature helps me quickly put sounds in the right order based on the set list. I typically do it on the fly during sound check for gigs, or I'll do it at home ahead of time if I'm pressed for time on the gig.

Re: How do you assign presets for a gig?
thank you! looking at this page now. this stuff reads so confusing to me.
I think maybe I need to get the nord sound manager going? I assume that is something I get going on my Mac? does that just show up if I plug it into my Mac laptop?
thank you for your help!

Deleted because I screwed up confusing Piano and Stage features. Sorry.

YouTube is a excellent resource with quite a few people who make Nord specific YT's covering most common topic. Just a few seconds using YT Search and scanning the results you can find video like the one below.....Watch on youtube.com
That's for NS3, OP has a NP5 which doesn't have the Song mode.

He can always move up to a Stage 3
Sorry thought the Piano's had the song mode. My mistake.

Re: How do you assign presets for a gig?
The way I do this is with Live Mode -- search your user manual or YouTube and you'll find pointers. There are 5 Live Mode slots, so you get one-touch access to 5 different settings. Before a gig, I set up my Nord exactly as I want it for Song 1 and store that to Live 1, put Song 2's settings into Live 2, etc. That way, when switching songs I literally just press the next Live Mode button. Almost impossible to screw up, even for me!
