WAVE2 110v/220v voltage selector switch?

Postby nemydom » 07 Dec 2021, 05:53

Hello, sorry, I already attempted to find out in another topic, but there was no response. I really need to know that, so please, if someone could help:
is it possible to switch voltage of NW2 from US 110v to 220-240V? I would really appreciate if someone could check. I know that it’s possible for the most of older Nords, but for some reason couldn’t find any info regarding NW2. Many thanks

Did you end up finding out if it has the internal voltage switch? I would like to know this as well.

The Answer is probably a little late, but here is a very educated guess: The Nord Piano 5 seem to have built in the same PSU, as the Nord Stage 3. It's called Nord Power 12P. It does have a 115V/230V-Switch. Both are rated 25W, just like the Nord Wave. The only Nords without an internal switch seem to be the devices without IEC-60320 C13/C14 plug. I would be very mutch suprised, if they would actually source different PSUs for digital synths/pianos with the same power rating. Thats a thing, you're simply not doing as an engineer for lowering the overall costs.

To put @NameGoesHere 's answer shortly: The Nord Wave 2 power supply is probably identical to Stage 3, and Piano 5, or an Electro. Plenty of advice on the forum about switching voltage.

BUMP. Wondering if anyone knows if a Wave 2 can support both 250V and 120V? Can a European purchased Wave 2 be played in the US ? Maybe internal switching and a US power cord?

Maybe internal switching, fuse change and a US power cord. Sorry I do not know if there is a switch.

Wondering if anyone has a definite answer on this? Does the Wave 2 have an internal voltage switch like some other models? thx!
