According to the user manual:
"LEFT and RiGHT OUT
¼ inch unbalanced line level outputs for amplifier or recording equipment. The nord piano 3 is a stereo instrument with separate signal paths for left and right audio channels. "
So since the output level is a bit on the weak side and the connections are unbalanced... i'm thinking the Line level output is -10dBV (the consumer audio norm.) Can anyone confirm this?
It makes a big deal when deciding what type of interface i buy.

Professional Level Audio is +4 dBU, which is 1.288 Vrms. Consumer Level Audio is -10 dBV, which is 0.316 Vrms.
I connected the output of my Nord P5 to an accurate digital voltmeter calibrated to display rms AC voltage. The maximum level output I could generate, with the master and panel volumes at maximum level, using various piano and synth sounds was 1.266 Vrms.
That measurement demonstrates that the output of the Nord P5 is unbalanced Professional Level Audio, at approximately +4 dBU.

I don't think so. I think, from the post above, that NORD outputs ~1.2v with all engines on, everything set to full volume, and maximum velocity. Therefore, it makes sense that I see lower output voltages with one engine, or a dialed back mix of two engines, and typical playing.
