I have connected a Stage 2 and a Wave 2 to my Windows PC, both in parallel with the USB cable. The reason: Sometimes I use from my two keyboards only the MIDI function to play the two Keyboards of an Hauptwerk-Organ (a very mighty simulation of big pipe organs) or the very perfect instruments from Audiomodelling.
Now with this configuration I would like to use the Sound Manger for both keyboards without disconnecting always the USB cable of the keyboard not used in this moment for the Sound Manager. I looked into this forum and found some answers from 2012 that this is not possible. The documentation has no hint that this was ever changed. Does anybody know a trick to accomplish this without physical disconnection? In my configuration the Sound Manager works normally with this two cables but connects always to the Stage.
It seems that Nord does not assume that somebody in this world can afford more than one of their keyboards (except the artists in their Youtube videos which have all more than one keyboard).

Re: Use Sound Manager with two Nord's
Unfortunately this is still not possible, Sound Manager does not allow to switch between different Nords connected to your computer. I encountered the same issue since I have two Nord Stage 3 connected, my workaround is to run Nord
Sound manager directly on my computer and also in a virtual machine and have one of the Nord Stage USB connections assigned to the virtual machine but it would be much more state-of-the-art if Nord would update Sound Manager to switsch between different Nords which are simultaneously connected to the same computer

I believe the limitation is the capabilities of Sound Manager, so multiple connections won't work eitherway.

Re: Use Sound Manager with two Nord's
Yeah, the Sound Manager has never had the functionality to handle multiple Nords at once, even with the right hub of connections. While it would be convenient, I view it as a fairly narrow use case as Sound Manager is not something I have a daily use for - maybe weekly or less, depending on how often I'm doing sound management or sync of a couple Nords. Definitely not required for live playing.
If Nord was going to invest more time in features for Sound Manager, I'd love to have an iOS version.

Thanks for Your answers. Its not a real problem for me - I unplug the cable from the not used keyboard. But it seemed to me a very simple change in the program to have a softswitch between USB interfaces.

Re: Use Sound Manager with two Nord's
Since you're using Windows, you might try out Sandboxie. As the name implies, it lets you open another instance of an already-running program. If you're lucky, the second instance of the Nord Sound Manager might connect to your free (connection-wise) Nord keyboard: that is, the Sound Manager's behaviour could end up being "The Stage is busy, let's try to establish a connection with the Wave"; that said, it might even be totally random and thus redundantly connect to your Stage, or straight-up glitch out. Unfortunately I can't test out this idea since I don't have a spare USB Type-B cable, but it's probably worth a try.

You can also use one of those USB hubs with switches, to avoid disconnecting cables (until Nord will maybe change the NSM behaviour and enable managing multiple connected Nord devices)
