Most "old" samples with the nsmp-Format (instead nsmp3) are assigned to the MISC-Categorie (if You convert and upload with the Nord Sound Manager). Is there a chance to change the category which seems to be part of the sample-file, to assign the samples to the different categories like accordion, string, etc?

Re: Sample Categories in Nord Wave 2
If you not in a hurry, wait for the sample library 4. Perhaps there were new categories.

Re: Sample Categories in Nord Wave 2
Thank You, but this will not solve my "problem" (its a minor problem). What I would like is to assign to a loaded sample a different category. At the moment e.g. all trumpet sounds I downloaded from the user sample library are assigned to category MISC together with all other samples loaded not from the Nord Library. I would like to assign these samples to "Brass Solo".
I looked at the sample file but cannot find a category textstring, I assume that the categories are stored as a number.

Ik onderschrijf dit probleem, is heel irritant en dien dan ook een dringend verzoek aan Nord in.

Re: Sample Categories in Nord Wave 2
The NSMP files are not editable once created, so I don't think there is any way to do this unless someone figured out how to reverse engineer the format.
