I'm looking for a way to use my A1 with the dual keyboard funktion in the stage 3.
I still want to use the sounds in the A1 but I want to trigger them via the stage so I can have the flexibility to play sounds from the stage some patches and the A1 itself on other.
Can this even be done?

What exactly would you want to imply?
- automatic change of programs on the A1 when a program is changed on the S3?
- playing S3 keys with sound from the A1?
- using pedals for both A1 and S3 together?
- ...
That's what should be possible with the Extern section.
The other way round is what the DualKB function on the S3 would allow: Playing S3 sound engines from the A1 keybed.

I want to use the A1 as a dual keyboard and still use the sounds in the A1.
For example have one patch where the organ sound is played from the A1 and another where I play A1 sounds on the A1 without having to change local off or lowering the volume on the A1.
Or in other words use the A1 in local off with the dual keyboard setting while using the extern section to play the A1.

I use my Wave as 2nd Keyboard with the ns3. In the case I use Dual KBmode, I switch the Wave via extern section and progchange to an empty programm with volume at zero.
You can combine the extern function (only to change the programm) with the dual keyboardmode (to play the stage with the A1).
Or you play the A1 Sound via extern.
You have these possibilities for each programm of the stage.

Well that is different to what you said first: "to use the sounds in the A1 but I want to trigger them via the stage". As I already suggested, you use the EXTERN section(s) of the NS3.

It's very ambiguous what you mean by "play": Does that mean use the keys or use the sound engines of that instrument?

EXTERN on the NS3 will let the NS3 play the A1 sounds.
Dual Keyboard will let the A1 play the panel B on the NS3.
If you want a mix, then you need 2 midi cables and assign different midi channels.
