The Beetles “You Say It’s Your Birthday” Song has a very unusual, distinctive synthesized sound. Has anyone been able to reproduce it on a NS3?
While I’m at it, I’m also looking for a better reproduction of The Black Keys organ sound from”Gold on the Ceiling” than the one I created. Any sound creators out there with a good answer?
Kind regard,

Re: [REQ] Beetles Birthday Sound
I posted a collection of Beatles programs from when I was playing in a tribute band
nord-stage-2-programs-ns2p-ns2pb-files-f15/nord-stage-2-2ex-programs-for-beatles-songs-t20683.html
unfortunately it's for the Stage 2EX, but maybe you can reconstruct the sound with the program viewer, I hope it's a good starting point

Re: [REQ] Beetles Birthday Sound
When we have covered this one, there is so much energy in the song that to me it has not really mattered exactly what piano sound is used (and I've been the guy pounding the keys when we cover it). Just sharing my perception here.
As an aside, I have always found this to be an incredibly "hot" rock and roll song, but the the recording and mix of it on the White Album has always seemed unfinished.

Re: [REQ] Beetles Birthday Sound
I had a listen to it. If we are talking about the same sound, it is the also played alone at the very end?
To me that sounds like an organ or square wave with a S/H modulation of the filter and some resonance, a leslie effect and some distortion. Maybe the S/H modulation is applied at the end but not in the rest of the song?

Re: [REQ] Beetles Birthday Sound
Just remember that there were no synths at that time.
All the "synth sounds" were normal, acoustic or electromechanical pianos, organs and guitars mangled through leslie speakers, guitar amps, tape editing, plate reverbs and all sorts of very analog stuff!
Anyway, the Beatles are the most researched and studied band in history, you can surely find exactly how that sound was created.

that sounds like a VERY difficult effect to replicate with the "normal" effect section of the Stage or Electro!
Maybe trying some combinations of piano with Leslie, flanger, EQ and distortion?

the piano sound was made by running it through a Vox Conqueror guitar amplifier and speaker cabinet which has a mid-range boost (MRB) function that jumps between the frequencies. After suggesting this effect, Ken Scott was recruited to make it work. "I plugged it up to show them what I meant," Ken explains. "When John heard it, he immediately said, 'Yeah, that's great - You do it,' and made me stay there turning the knob in time with the beat.
