On the stage 3 the lfo has both clock sync - and kb sync so that it would start its cycle on each key press. Critical if you want to make rhythmic sounds with elements synced to each other.
I see the NW2 is missing this feature and the lfo is free running? Unless i'm overlooking something?

Re: NW2 Lfo - no kb sync?
When you sync the LFO to the Master Clock, you can set the keyboard sync to soft or hard. When I did this, the LFO was triggered when I hit the key. This is exactly the same mechanism as on the Stage 3. The dedicated KB Sync button below the LFO section on the Stage 3 is for the Arpeggiator, not the LFO.

I'm not able to reproduce the part of your reply where you suggest, "When you sync the LFO to the Master Clock, you can set the keyboard sync to soft or hard"
Here's what I'm doing:
#0. I'm on the latest OS, 1.20.
#1. Loaded up an <empty> preset.
#2. Held down the MST CLK button and selected my preferred KBS mode, Hard. Clock Rate is default 120 bpm with no external clock involved.
#3. Held down SHIFT and rotated the LFO RATE knob fully clockwise. Display reads "LFO MstClk ON" and the MST CLK light is illuminated.
#4. I left the RATE knob alone, which is default at 4/1 (i.e. fully counter-clockwise) and left the default LFO waveform at Triangle.
#5. Selected OSC PITCH for the LFO destination
#6. Turned the AMOUNT knob to ~6, or 12.0 semitones
#7. Played some staccato notes
At this point, it's clear that the LFO is still free-running and not triggered when I hit the key and I do not see an option to establish LFO keyboard sync as you suggest. The only spot on the panel for KB SYNC is in the ARPEGGIATOR / GATE section and just as you suggest for the Stage 3, enabling KB SYNC in the ARP section doesn't help.
What am I missing? Thanks!
Edit: FOUND IT!
#8. Held down SHIFT and rotated the ARPEGGIATOR / GATE TEMPO knob fully counter-clockwise which (obviously) syncs the ARP TEMPO to MST CLK.
What?! The ARP section is not even turned on, which doesn't make sense, but at least I found the secret path to a KB SYNC'ed LFO!

That was last September. I found out meanwhile.
Thanks anyway!
Re: NW2 Lfo - no kb sync?
Very tricky. I nearly gave up but somehow I managed to get the keysynced LFO as well.
