Which Android app you would/use to trigger nsmp samples ?
I usually send some few samples for fun from my Stage during some songs in a gig (the sample editor really makes it easy to map samples to individual notes !).
I now would like the singer to be able to send the samples by herself.
Easy solution is : she comes near by the keyboard and plays the notes !
Second solution, would be to have some Nanopad or equivalent and have it connected in MIDI using a looooooooong cable.
Third one I'm looking into would be to use her Android phone and trigger the samples using MIDI/Bluetooth.
I've bought a WIDI Master that works fine : made successful tests using the Moog application on my ipad. I can have the app play triggering directly from the Stage and more interesting, play notes on the ipad and have the Stage play !
All I need is some Android application (singer doesn't have an iphone) with simple pads that I could assign to specific notes on the Stage. Looking around, many apps are DJ/pads oriented, I'm seeking something very basic !
Any experience and application names to share ?
Thanks !
Fred

HI Fred,
not an Android user here but I have seen some similar discussions on other forums, do you mean something like this? https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... l=en&gl=US

Yes, I'll try this app and see if I can customise it for my (basic) needs

I tried many Android apps.
None recognize the WIDI in the MIDI parameter page.
Frustrating as the ipad is plug and play...

Why don't you use Bluetooth MIDI instead (e.g. using a Yamaha BT-01 adapter)? WIDI is "Wireless MIDI" and is less standard than BT MIDI, which btw is said to be supported by the App I linked (WIDI is not mentioned instead).cookie wrote:I tried many Android apps.

I'm using the "WIDI Master" device which I believe is the BT-01 equivalent ?
I believe this is Bluetooth MIDI : https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... l=en&gl=US

I received the answer from CME : need to run the MIDI+BTLE Android application in the background prior to launching any MIDI applications.
Video tutorial below :
Should have digged a bit more before testing all the Android applications !
I now have my Android device sending notes to my Stage using "MIDI Controller" app !
