A few Months ago i sold my Nord Stage 3 compact. Didnt like it at all.
The keys are very different between those two instruments - maybe not so much related to the generation NS2 vs NS3.

I prefer the HA action of the NS288 to the HP of the NS276.
I agree with baekgaard, they are very different. To my taste, the 76 has short vertical travel and it is too bouncy.

The NS2 76 without the EX had a HA hammer action keybed as in the 88. There was a major change when they launched the NS2 EX 76 which has got the HP keybed. I think the reason in the post above from Ton to look for a NS2 76 was the HA keybed. Might be a good alternative if the number of keys as well as the other specs would be sufficient.

The comparison between any HA or HP keybed with a SW bed of the Compact again is something completely different. The OP hasn‘t mentioned a SW at all.

Sunny regards from Germany

I agree completely. My mentor bought the 76, and even he’s now using an 88 key controller, back to schlepping two slabs.

Reading all the posts, and everybody remember that as far as what Nord keyboard you like depends on what type of player you are, music, or type of gigs, etc you do! I'm a organ synth guy, and have been gigging for over 40 years playing Rock Funk & Disco Music, and I road my own gear...So when researching for a new go to Board.. I chose the NS3C....It has all the sounds I need! Doesn't take up much space, easy to road! If your a piano player. Buy the Hammer action Nord... If your a Organ Synth player. Buy the waterfall action Nord with much less pressure pressing the keys down!
As far as liking the sounds outta this board depends on how good you are personally at making great sounds, and hours of playing the board twisting knobs to perfect your sounds! Bought my NS3C in 2018, and love it!! Cheers....

From your photo, it looks like you've been gigging since you were 3. DiscoBaby!

That is completely awesome. Must be a great group of people to hold it together like that. I never managed that with any band, but I am still making music with old band mates from the early 90s (but I think it helps that I live 16000 km away from them).

Speaking of discobaby B3 players, seen this?
