Hi al
I got recently a Nord Rack 2 which i find a pretty good sounding synth, however i have a newbie question, i would like to use a hardware sequencer with this synth (A Roland MC 50MK1) but the NR2 has only a midi in/out socket, so my question is how do i connect this to a sequencer and to my hardware synth that i use to trigger (in my case a Ensoniq ESQ 1 which has Midi in/out only too). As far as i can remember Roland MC 50 has 2 Midi in sockets just in case this plays a role in the connection among these 3 old but grear machines, Nord Rack - Ensoniq ESQ 1 - Roland MC 50 mk1.
I could trigger the NR2 using the ESQs internal sequencer but this sequencer is not a "live situation performance" sequencer so it lacks mute channels which i consider essential, its only for recording tracks, fine too but cant mute/unmute channels like i can in a real hardware stand alone sequencer as the infamous and great Roland MC 50mk1.
Any ideas ?
