Stupid Newbie Question
Hello everyone,
I've been deleting sounds I don't need/want from my Electro 6D to make room for some of the larger piano files, and I think I did things back-asswards.
I knew that by deleting some sounds, I would break various programs; but only later did I realize that I probably should have deleted those programs *first*. (Next time, I'll know better!)
I now have a bunch of programs with no sounds associated with them that I must delete as well. Is there a quick/easy way to do this from the Sound Manager, or do I just have to go the laborious route of making note of each broken program and deleting them one by one?

Re: Stupid Newbie Question
If I remember well in NSM you can sort the list of programs based on the "Note" column that indicates the missing samples (just click or double click on the column name) so that you get the "broken" ones on top and so you can delete them more easily.

Re: Stupid Newbie Question
You don‘t need to delete programs if your only intention is to get more memory space. You don‘t even need to delete piano sample files (npno) if you want to get more sample (nsmp) space. These are three independent memory areas.
If your aim is to get more piano memory space available it may be a good way replacing xxl samples by smaller ones of the same instrument. Nord Sound Manager can do this with SUBSTITUTE.

Re: Stupid Newbie Question
Programs only need little memory, and with NSM, you can easily reassign any piano sound to make them functional again.

Thanks! I was trying to free up space for some of the XL piano files by deleting some of the *other* piano files that I don't need. Also wound up clearing out some samples to make room for some fresh ones from the Nord site. And now all of those broken programs in the onboard menu are annoying me!

Thanks everyone! I thought I'd shot myself in the foot, but it looks like there are lots of good options...

Yep, you may also keep the Programs and just relink the missing samples to the most similar ones you added/kept (e.g. if you removed a piano sample "A" for loading "B" you can relink programs using A to let them use B)
