Hello everyone,
I recently bought a Moog EP3 for my Electro 6D. Alas, it's "range" as a volume/swell pedal will not go below 52% if I want it to also go to 100%, regardless of how I play with the Nord's internal settings or the Moog's own pot and "standard/other" switch -- a problem I belatedly discovered others on the forums have experienced as well. (I can get it down to 46%, but then it will only go as high as 80%!)
Some have apparently solved this by replacing the TRS cable that came with the unit. Has anyone else experienced this with the 6D? Do you think it's worth trying to swap cables, or am I better off just exchanging it for an FC7? (I wanted to try the Moog because it so compact, but I'd rather have something that simply works...)
Thanks in advance for any insights/advice!

Re: Moog EP3/Electro 6D
I have 4 Moog EP3 pedals, never had a problem with any of them. The cable they ship with it is quite cheap, however-

Hey DJ,
Just wanted to thank you for your reply! I had ordered the Moog from Sweetwater, and rather than messing around with cables I just decided to exchange it for a Yamaha FC7. That way I get more candy, too!

I also never had any problem with my EP3 and Nord Stage 2. Between the pedal's own settings (it's MUCH more flexible than the FC7) and the pedal options in the menus of the Nord, it should absolutely be possible to get a perfect 0-100% range. Maybe you had a defective cable, or the potentiometer in the pedal was failing.

Hey Spider,
I believe it! Just wanted something that would work, though, and the FC7 functioned perfectly right out of the box. Maybe I’ll try the EP3 again some time!

I too use the EP3 as the FC7 range was too big for wah sweep. I also had to switch out the cable pretty soon after purchase.
