Difference between original and v2 music stands?
I'm interested in what the differences are between the original and the v2 music stands. All I've found so far is a few references to v2 being partially wood (?), and the holes on Nord instruments not lining up the same.
Any info would be appreciated.

Re: Difference between original and v2 music stands?
The v2 is the black metal stand. The wood music stand is made of red-stained wood.
As far as I know, they are identical in all other respects: they have the same size and are compatibile with all Nords with the stand brackets on the back panel (the C1-2-2D organs and all latest pianos including the Piano, Stage, Grand and Electro series. Earlier Electros and Stages only had the brackets on the weighted-keys models).
The "v2" refers to a previous version of the black metal stand, but as far as I know the difference between v1 and v2 is almost non-existant. Maybe they changed something in construction or materials, but the two versions look the same and are both fully compatible with all the above Nords.

Sometimes, people mix up music rests and piano stands. There are two versions of the wooden piano stand with different measures for the screw holes.Spider wrote:... the two versions look the same and are both fully compatible with all the above Nords.

Re: Difference between original and v2 music stands?
Thanks Spider,
As long as the metal stands are both compatible with the Nord instrument brackets I'm a happy camper. I plan on getting rid of my 'v1' stand and didn't want to sell someone a stand that wouldn't fit.
And thanks FZiegler also. Terminology can be confusing. Maybe no one wants to use the term 'music desk' with portable instruments?

Uhm...I'm getting more confused
As Fzeigler said, there are two type of "stands" in the Clavia catalog, both available in metal or wood.
I was talking about the music stand, the flat accessory to hold sheet music and books.

Are you talking about that, or about the keyboard stand?

I was talking about the stand for sheet music and books that attaches to the back of the keyboard. I think you and I were talking about the same thing.
