Sostenuto and una corda don t working on my NP4

Postby Paulinho Leme » 27 Mar 2021, 13:45

Hi, everyone!

Sostenuto and una corda do not working on my Nord Piano 4. The triple pedal is working well on my Nord Stage 3. In settings, auto triple pedal is selected on NP4. Pedal noise is working well, and sustain too.

Thanks for help!

Sostenuto shouldn't have to do anything with the type of piano samples - in my eyes. Una corda maybe.

Hi Paulinho

and a very warm welcome to this wonderful forum of nord enthusiasts.

I would guess it has to do with the system menu settings, they are probably on Sustain or Auto. I have heard that you can‘t always rely on the setting Auto, this function can get harmed by having the pedal pressed while switching on the instrument and other things.

If you set this setting to Triple I guess it should work.

Have fun and rainy regards from Germany

Hello!

Tanks! I solve my problem! My cable was broken inside pedal unit.

Tank you!

hi i have the same problem with Nord Piano 4. Sostenuto (middle) and una corda (left) have no effects when pressed. Sustain (right) is good.
In settings, I already chosed Triple Pedal. Did you open up your triple pedal and found broken cables?

Hi, you don't need to open to test it if you have a multimeter; just measure at pedal TRS jack between Ring and Sleeve when you press Sostenuto or Una Corda pedals (Tip/Sleeve for Sustain), if you see no change then something is wrong.
