Nord hasn't told directly, but the hint is in the info line, I think. I mean, it would be kind of weird if it was a Yamaha S7 when it says "Stw B", wouldn't it -- I don't think the info line randomly became what it is :-)

If someone else claims that it is some other type of piano, you might want to check what evidence that is based on.

Is the variation of "White grand" sound hidden under this name?

Clearly the best sounding piano bit ive heard from the Nord, but "Soft white"? The only thing I can find about it is this. Is the Soft White a preset?

Looks like Soft White will be a program preset of the White Grand.

The White Grand played through the "soft" filter (as opposed to the"bright" filter)?

Sorry guys, was rushing.

I looked on the Nord website at the sounds which are factory loaded to the Nord Grand, no samples there that we don't already know of.
I'm also sure that we would have found out by now from some Nord Grand owners if there was a secret sample included within.

I therefore concluded that Soft Grand must be a program preset, on the Nord Grand, making use of the White sample in some softened state, possibly as someone suggested with the soft filter applied :)

Thanks Kirsty :)

Haven't anyone on here tried to tweak the Nord (Grand) through some UAD plugs such as Ocean way studios maybe to create an illusion of room or some high end hardware in order to make this instrument sound as realistic as possible?
Thats gonna be my journey from when I pick up my new Grand tomorrow (If I like the instrument when I sit at it), but I guess some of you people have had the same plan post productionwise for example?

For what it's worth, there is a "soft" grand, the "Soft Royal." It was Program B:41 when I first bought my NG. The Program number may now be different, though, as at the time of my purchase the White Grand wasn't even pre-loaded.
