Hi.
My girlfriend got a second-hand Nord Piano 2. It's good overall, but one thing perplexes us: the 1/8'' jack input (labelled 'monitor in') doesn't seem to be working.
In my experience with the Nord Stage 2 and 2EX, there is nothing to do for it to work: you just plug a signal in, and it gets through to the outputs... Right?
I've browsed the menus, just in case, but nothing in there seems related to that.
Does the unit have a problem, or am I missing something?
And if there is a problem, do I have a chance of fixing it myself?

I think it is the same as with my NE5: The monitor in signal goes to the headphones output only, not to the main (left/right) outs. Do you hear it, when you use a headphone?

The manual says:
"Monitor in
Use this to connect and monitor a signal from an mp3 or a CD player at the Nord Piano 2’s headphone output. This allows you to e.g. re- hearse with the instrument to pre-recorded music.
OBS: Signals connected to this input will not be processed with the Piano 2’s effects or appear at the Piano’s left and right output jacks."

That's it. Unlike the Nord Piano 4, the monitor in signal of the NP2 & NP3 goes only to the headphone output.

Ah, and I'm using the Nord Stage's headphone output to feed the speakers, because the main output goes to the DAW. So that's why I can hear it with the Stage. Mystery solved. Thanks!
