I am having difficulty sending/receiving midi cc data to/from my new Electro 6D. I am using Cubase on an iMac with a Steinberg UR44 interface. I am able to send/receive midi notes on channel 1, but I cannot not seem to send or receive cc data.
On the 6D I have:
Midi Channel Global set to 1,
Midi Channel Ext Kbd set to 1,
Midi Control Change set to Send & Receive,
Midi Program Change set to Send & Receive.
Local Control On or Off doesn't seem to make any difference. And, yup, I've read the manual. I'm more interested in sending/receiving organ sound, i.e. enabling the organ, modifying the drawbars programmatically, controlling the rotor, sending notes. Any thoughts as to where I might be going wrong?

Re: Sending/Receiving midi cc - 6D
I dont't own an Electro. But you certainly need the Global channel for sending/receiving CC or PC data:
Don't set Ext Kbd and Global to the same channel.
The rest seems OK.

Check System Menu. option 12:
12 - COnTROL/PROGRAM CHAnGe MODe
CC (COnTROL CHAnGe)
This allows you to set if you want your nord electro 6 to transmit and/or receive MIDI Controller Messages or not on the Global channel.
Range: Off, Send, Receive, Send & Receive (Default)
(copy and paste from manual always messes up upper and lower case!)

@anotherscott, if I understand the OP‘s post right that‘s what he did already.
@michaelpeets, I am curious to see what‘s happening if you set the Ext Kbd Midi channel other than 1. Sometimes it‘s strange - a thing appears like nothing to do with the problem but nevertheless hurting.
And sure that your Steinberg UR lets pass the cc messages?
Cheers from Germany, stay healthy everybody

Re: Sending/Receiving midi cc - 6D
First of all, as already suggested, I'd avoid to set Extern and Global on the same channel
Question then: how have you connected the NE6 to the Mac? If you use USB there is no need to put the UR44 in between (at least you remove one element and simplify the problem, as far as MIDI is concerned).
Try to do that and use Snoize MIDI Monitor to check the data flowing to from NE6 on its USB MIDI ports, if you see the CCs there then it could be some setting in Cubase.

Re: Sending/Receiving midi cc - 6D
So, as suggested, I set the Midi Channel Ext Kbd set to 16, leaving the Midi Channel Global set to 1. This sort of worked. I created two midi tracks win Cubase, one set to record from channel 1 and the other set to record from channel 16. I start recording in Cubase while moving the drawbars on the 6D as well as playing around with other organ settings. Lo and behold the recorded tracks contain CC events except for drawbars 1 thru 8. I get CC events for drawbar 9 but not the others. Then, I set the Midi Channel Global to 16 and the Midi Channel Ext Kbd to 15. Lo and behold, all the drawbars now send to Cubase. And Cubase now sends to the 6D on channel 16. Thanks, y'all for your suggestions.
