I came across this video of the National and as a fan of that band, I've always liked the upright sound they use live. Looking at this, it definitely looks like they are using an onboard Nord upright, and not a plugin. I don't see any midi connections. I'm wondering if anyone can identify which Nord upright this is:

I'm thinking it could possibly be the Schimmel Romantic Upright, but curious to see if someone has a better idea.

I don't know about which piano it is, but I also like the National, and that sound really works for them. Shame they're playing without a drummer, one of my favourite tracks of theirs is Blood Buzz Ohio, where the drums really shine.

Agreed. Their drummer is really amazing. He comes up with some great parts.
