Hi all. Having startup problems.
Factory restore executed.
Still not booting properly.
Best thread to discuss, feedback etc ?
Would ultimately like to get my hands on an original or updated OEM DVD & hardcopy owners manual. Yes, have recently discovered there is no workshop manual.
cheers Glenn
Note: New user, new to Clavia as well. Not a complete luddite. More analogue than anything. Think solid state, Fender Rhodes/DX7 & mini moog .. in former times a Hammond B3 / Yamaha YC20
Still missing the Goldentone amp as well
Gettin' a little tired of lugging the 5'2" Danemann Grand around ...the body is complaining after 50 decades.

Re: NS 88 classic Rev.b
Hi Pianotech, welcome to the forum. Sorry, don't have a manual or DVD. 50 decades? Man, you're almost as old as Methuselah.

Hi Pianotech and welcome,
did you try to re-flash the firmware too, using latest firmware upgrade tool?
Unfortunately no schematics or Service Manual publicly available, but some NS of those series can show issues on the power supply that can also affect the boot operations (changing the PS capacitors usually fixes that)

Yes, not quite past the use by date, the dang tech is getting formidable tho' if not frustrating. Nothing like my atari/amiga days of the late 80's.
Found the right thread I think ... nord-stage-classic-ex-programs-nspg-files-f5/nord-stage-ex-classic-program-collection-t685.html#p2615
Will take vid of the error messages, hack out some history and upload 'recommended repairer' report, and head over there.
cheers, the non-biblical analogue patriarch

Hi maxpiano, Ta. Yes OS and roms were re flashed. All voicings show up as loaded in memory but the C7 won't boot from main startup menu. Pretty sure my tech guy (see other post) used latest firmware. Perhaps that is the problem Will mention power supply as well. Saying new mainboard, perhaps is not that familiar with the programming protocols or earlier Nords. Although he is old school and his credo is recommended.
Will head over to nord-stage-classic-ex-programs-nspg-files-f5/nord-stage-ex-classic-program-collection-t685.html#p2615
shortly.
cheers. Glenn.
