Logic Pro changes programme settings

Postby tonyday » 06 Jul 2020, 15:43

I have a Nord Stage 3, and successfully record MIDI and audio in Logic Pro X. Recently I noticed a programme setting being changed every time I switched tracks in Logic - it switched the Amp from synth to organ. This meant I could not record the audio synth sound I was trying to achieve. Any ideas?

That's because your logic track sends some midi control or program change message...

I don't use Logic, but in Cubase I can look at what is recorded on the track itself and delete anything I don't want. In addition, I can make sure the track itself does not send any program messages upon start. I'm sure Logic allows something similar.

You could deactivate receiving MIDI control messages in the NS3's MIDI settings menu.

These sound good suggestions. I'll try that. Thanks
