My NE2 bricked a few years ago. Rather than spend big bucks on a new motherboard, I instead mothballed it and bought an NE3. On a lark, I contacted Pablo at American Music and Sound a few weeks ago. He coached me through some diagnostics to confirm that the problem was in the FLASH. He also helped me identify suitable replacement chips, whic I was able to hunt down with just a bit of searching. I had a friend remove the old flash and install the new; now, the NE2 is as good as new!! Had to reload the OS and sounds, of course, but now I've got the board back in service.

I'll never let go of my NE2. The Clav is still the most fun to program and play. And the Wurly and organ still hold their own with a proper guitar amp. I've also gigged the NE2 organ using a Lounsberry Tall & Fat and original Ventilator to a pair of QSC K8.2's. OM-effin-G! This thing still rocks.

I bought an used Nord Electro 2 rack the other day, and after a couple of hours I wanted to try some of the other acoustic pianos.
In the process there were an error and electro tool told me to restart software and hardware.
But, now it only gets to 3.0 in the display and nothing works.
I have tried the hardware test, all is fine.
I've tried several times to reinstall firmware, it completes the dump, but never restarts, so I have to manually restart with same result: 3.0 and nothing else.
So I am not that at all happy about the NE2 And therefor it could be a huge help if the info regarding: "some diagnostics to confirm that the problem was in the FLASH." and replacing the chips, which ones, and with which ones.

I am still waiting for Clavia to answer my ticket.
