I had the Electro 5HP... the keybed, while decent, was really "thunky". Did they improve the keybed on the Electro 6HP by any chance?

Try doing a search for something like "keyboard clack" and you'll get an earful about the NE6HP. I haven't played the NE5, but I suspect the same keybed is used. Lightweight, great sound, but if you are playing quietly at home it can get annoying.
