Hey all,
Looking for a hard case for my Stage 3 compact, not a flightcase, but rather a hard case like a Gator or something. Unfortunately the only things I’ve found so far have been for 76 note keyboards. Has anyone found something good?
Cheers,
Matt

Re: Hard Case for 73 note keyboard?
No real advice, but don't look after two digits only - look after a fitting size. So, maybe even a 61 case could fit, if it's meant for an instrument with pitch and mod wheel left to the keys.
I like the soft case Gator GK-76-SLIM a lot - it's just a bit oversized in length, so fits even for a pedal next to the Stage. But it's sturdily padded (do you say so?) and also a bit stiff. But you probably shouldn't step onto it with the Stage inside. That would be a bit too much.
Or what about that one: https://www.skbcases.com/music/products ... &c=89&s=76 - that should be a real hard case.

Maybe you'de want to have a look into this thread, too - although mainly soft cases proposed: nord-stage-forum-f3/ns3c-soft-case-t18899.html

Re: Hard Case for 73 note keyboard?
I have a Gator TSA 49 hard case for my NLA1. It's longer than necessary, but the internal adjustment is very good, allowing for a very tight fit on the keyboard, and a little extra space for some bits and pieces. It's light and sturdy, and for a relatively cheap hardcase for throwing in the car I'd recommend it. I'd expect the Gator TSA 76 would be fine for the NS3C.

Re: Hard Case for 73 note keyboard?
SKB 3i-5014 is the best deal around -- awesome case; tried and tested by many and nothing but good reports
can also try Pelican; rifle cases are also good for keyboards with the right foam stuffing
my experience with Gator has been that they do not stand up well
they've moved the location, but up until a couple years ago the official Gator service center was ~0.5km from my home
and there was always a HUGE pile of broken stuff outside waiting for the dumpster
this statement was based on history from some years ago and withdrawn as being out of date and stale
bless, Pablo

I have to say Pablo, I do not subscribe to your evidence based approach of giving advice. I prefer to go with my gut feel because my uncle went to university, probably a world record of going to university, and all the scientists tell me they don't understand how I can know so much, so I'm really good at this. (I actually do really like my Gator TSA 49. It hasn't let me down yet after about a year of hacking around).

Re: Hard Case for 73 note keyboard?
I should in fairness add that my observation was quite some years ago, perhaps when they were "fresher" in the business. No doubt they have taken efforts to improve quality with time, and yours is not the first happy report I've seen. Sometimes my typewriter fingers feel the need to talk. And sometimes my brain should engage first and place a STOP sign in my fingers' paths. That was perhaps one of those times.
Bless, Pablo
PS -- that was pretty funny, or I should say would be, except that it's not

I personally use the standard gator 61 key hard case for my electro 5hp 73 which fits just right. The Nord is narrower than the case but it fits pretty snug if you adjust the included foam.
