Good morning everyone, in my last gig, in the theater, the sound engineers connected my three keyboards, including Nord Stage 2ex, in stereo.
But, I wonder about NS2, is it really useful to use it in stereo? In headphones and in small rooms (pubs, clubs, etc.) probably yes, but in theaters, arenas etc ... really should always be connected in stereo? Besides, I noticed that some EP factory presets are created mono ...
Also, which sub mixer do you use to connect your keyboards, to send all L + R to the sound engineer? Wouldn't it be better to use a mixer with 3 stereo (in my case) inputs rather than to connect each keyboard out on single mono channels and work on the panpot?

Radial Engineering Key Largo
It's expensive but there's nothing to touch it really.

I use Mackie 802VLZ4 as a mixer for three synths. It’s got three stereo channels. Even four, there’s one without EQ option.
It can send a monitor signal for your own monitoring as well. Has balanced stereo outputs for the FOH (sound engineer).

Re: NS2ex: Stereo or mono...
In the manual it is suggested to connect in stereo, and that is absolutely reasonable if you use e.g. a ping pong delay or modulating pan with an LFO. In the organ section the rotary speaker effect is more accurate in stereo as well.
With 3 keyboards on a gig it may be a little tricky for the guy in the PA as he will have to use 6 channels only for you, and you can not trust him 100% that he will adjust all your keyboards sounding right.
Buy a small 3 channel stereo mixer (I got a tiny Behringer xenyx Q502 that sits perfectly on the left side of my electro) adjust all your volumes for each program at home, go to the gig and give the sound man just one stereo signal and you are fine. You have all the control of your sound in your hands!

And I got 2 keyboards so I picked the simplest for my needs...You could try the 802 or the 1002.

Re: NS2ex: Stereo or mono...
But wit the 802 you would have to use the microphone inputs for your 3rd instrument, so the 1002 Is better, you get one spare in that case.

This could also be a good solution for you to cover just the very basics. 3 channel stereo, very small, it could easily sit everywhere.
