I can certainly add a queryString parameter to the url that removes the header and footer (or remove the header footer from that page completely, or alter the url route pattern slightly)

OK, What I can do..... Is make the page public, so you dont need to go through login (this will remove the login page/redirection) .... I will test this change now to see if it works.
The only problem is the user starRating requires a user to be logged in, but I can maybe remove this feature when there is no user.

My only other reservation is that Bots can download the samples if the page is public.

So maybe, any click to download and any click on Add your rating can direct the user to Login - to prevent bots, and preserve the rating thing.
If not logged in, at least you will see the info on the patch... What do you think? Maybe the Bots is not an issue..

Ill also redesign the login page layout so that we can make it more seamless with NUF.
Maybe the Add new Sound (and entire site) can also be intergated in a NUF page using IFrame (losing header/footer) .. What you think Johannes?

Mmm... just something I noticed (that's why I've changed the sound ID) is that the mp3 preview is not playing here. It does on the site itself actually.
And I get the cookie / I get it notification every time.
Can you check Steve/Johannes/Anyone?

Checking the test post above, seemed to work for me, no cookie warning, and even navigating to AllSounds the mini mp3 players all seemed to work..
What browser are you using?

Ok... stupid MacOS Safari again. Just tried it on Google Chrome (Windows) ander there it works.
Don't mention this. I'll shoot Safari for now...

I have removed the header footer and changed the login page layout (removed the image on the left) and removed User's 'Rate this sound' (needs user to be logged in) - when being viewed inside NUF via BBCode.
However, oddly, if the user has logged in to NUS (maybe in another window) then they are also logged in inside the iframe bbcode, and are able to add a star rating!

Unfortunately the BBCode feature is caching the NordSounds app in the NUF browser cached page using (chrome) , so the changes are not visible until you nuke your browser cache (NUF).

Johannes do you think there might be a way to prevent the caching on the iframe?

Found the solution for this!
For other macOS / Safari 13 users this is what you have to change in safari preferences:
Safari >> Preferences >> Websites >> Auto-Play

Set the website "norduserforum.com" to "Allow All Auto-Play"

I have a quick question related to how the samples/programs are ordered/sorted by default (as in when you first go into the website without doing any filtering or sorting). Are they sorted by the latest uploads first? It looks like this is the case, but I'm just curious.

Hi , yes its most recent first. SO that users can see the new additions easily.
