What's the output level of the Nord Lead A1? The manual only stated unbalance line level.
I'm looking again into the comment that outputs seem low and am wondering if a -10/+4 level shift pedal would help.
Thanks!

Re: Nord Lead A1 output level ::: -10 or +4
I run mine into my RME with the line input sensitivity set to -10dbV (consumer grade) and I usually have the output volume set a little over halfway. A level shift pedal is entirely unnecessary. The A1 outputs plenty loud enough for normal recording interfaces. +4 is used between studio grade equipment, but -10 is perfectly fine for line input from synths and external playback.

-10 is the correct setting, as the outputs are unbalanced-

Re: Nord Lead A1 output level ::: -10 or +4
Thank you for the replies. My use case is feeding the A1 into the line input of a Quilter Bass Block 800 amp for synth bass duties. I also use an electric bass in the instrument input. The two inputs are not coupled. If I use the instrument gain to boost the level of the electric bass until it's as loud as the A1, that happens around '3'. Then I use the master for overall volume.
I find that I'm sometimes needing just a bit more volume, even with the BB800 master at full. I know there's room for more instrument gain, but that would upset the balance between the two instruments. Hence my investigation into increasing the gain the BB800 line input sees from the A1. I have a small mixer, but a pedal would be the preferred solution.
I've found a couple of pedals that may work, but I was wondering if a line shift would do the trick.
