During a soundcheck my Bb2 key suddenly stopped playing piano sounds on my StageEX 76. All of the other keys will play the piano patch with the exception of the Bb. Later I noticed that faulty key still will play organ sounds and synth sounds. Does anyone have any ideas why a single key no longer will communicate with the piano tone generator?
Thanks!

Re: One key won't play piano patches but can play organ/synt
Dirt or dust in the key sensor.
There are more than one for each key in order to track velocity.
The sensor used by the organ and synth still work, but the 2nd sensor needed to track velocity is not working. So the b3 and synth will play but the piano will not.

It's a common issue as cgrafx wrote but you can fix it yourself. Search this forum for instructions. Basically you need to open your nord stage, unscrew the keybed and clean the rubber contacts. I did it myself couple of times with my NS2C.

Actually it's not only Nord Stage problem. Could happen to any keyboard. Here is a link to explain how to open Nord Stage https://youtu.be/kxEBhx5AdQw
Another one how clean the rubber contacts
