Loud Key Glitch -> NS3 88
Hello Everybody
Did anyone of you recognized that loud key glitch which is shown in the video below ?
I think it happend to me while playing at a Gig ..... accidentally....... before I saw that video....... and there I thought it was just in my imagination.
Now I was sitting at my NS3 88 ......... and experience that this bug is really there.
I also have the NS3c .......... there everything is fine. Also playing the NS3 88 over Midi by another Midi Keyboard (Studiologic Numa Nano) .......... there is no problem.
So it seems that the Sensor at the NS3 88 is not reacting in the right way ...... by playing same note that fast. ...... means it is a Hardware Bug
Would be nice if any of you can confirm this behavior ......... or maybe not.

Yes, it’s a software bug for the HA88. It’s been posted in the sticky thread for known issues and has been submitted to Clavia. It will likely be addressed after NAMM.
NS3-88, NS3C, Casio CT-S1, Radial Key Largo, Westone AM Pro 30 IEMs, Rolls PM55P Headphone Mixer, K&M 18880 Keyboard Stand with 18881 Second Tier, Bose S1 Pro, JBL 305p MKII Monitors, Zoom Q2n-4K Gig Camera, Behringer XR18 Mixer
Re: Loud Key Glitch -> NS3 88
it happened on one stage 3 I had here, noticed it within minutes but put up with it, then other issues showed up and it was sent back. hasn't happened since with the new stage 3. it's a bit of a hit and miss bug.
Yep, that video's doing the rounds. The CP88 is a complete turn-off for me. I stopped listening to that video earlier when the comment "the black nord" came out of his mouth. sorry nope not having that. it's a yamaha, feels weird, metal micro toggle switches, nope, that's wrong on so many levels that it may as well be considered "lift music"

I checked the thread you mention and searched for the issue, but I couldn't find it. How is it named inside the file?ajstan wrote:Yes, it’s a software bug for the HA88. It’s been posted in the sticky thread for known issues and has been submitted to Clavia. It will likely be addressed after NAMM.
I am considering purchasing the NS3 88, and was actually about to do so, till I saw the video posted in this thread.
Not that I am over concerned about this bug, but I am kind of surprised it hadn't been discovered before, giving the apparent straightforwardness the guy in the video talks about it with. I still think I'll buy the NS3, but on the other hand I kind of agree that a keyboard in this price range shouldn't really show such issues.
Thank you and I apologize for my wacky English.

Re: Loud Key Glitch -> NS3 88
I took an unsuccessful attempt to reproduce this on my NS3 88, looks like mine does not have this problem. I therefore doubt that this is a general software bug, but maybe I’m too stupid to do it the right way to get it wrong

The reason that the issue wasn’t discovered is that it was so rarely encountered in the practical use of the NS3 that it wasn’t reported by anyone for over two years.
On a separate note, please seriously consider the following before you buy:
If you think that anything less than perfection is unacceptable because Nords are expensive, then I would strongly recommend you buy a less expensive brand of keyboard. It won’t be perfect either, but at least you won’t be out as much money.
Good luck with whatever your decision is.

Thanks! I saw that, I mistakenly assumed that the issue had been reported on the Google sheet, but apparently it isn't there. Good to know it has been submitted to Clavia, let's hope that it is something that can be worked-around via software update.ajstan wrote: Welcome, your English is fine! In absolute terms you are of course right, because perfection doesn't exist anywhere anyway. But of course in reality it is always a matter of degrees. If this issue is really that hard to trigger when normally playing that nobody had noticed it in over 2 years, then OK, I don't mind either. But the reason why I asked in the first place is that the way the guy does that in the YT video didn't seem really anything particularly superhuman, just notes in a row played quickly.ajstan wrote: On a separate note, please seriously consider the following before you buy:

Anyway, as I said I had already pretty much made my mind about the purchase, so I think I'll just go for it.
I think I'll be lurking and possibly posting here in the future.
Thank you all!
Re: Loud Key Glitch -> NS3 88
Alright, I just got a NS3 88!
And I am very happy with it.
Concerning the "glitch", yes I can confirm it is there... I can only get it on black keys though, and as someone else said earlier it shows up about 1 time out of 15. Not a huge deal but I'd like to see it fixed in the near future... I hope Clavia is reading this forum.
