Soundcheck playback

Postby Gareth » 12 Dec 2019, 18:18

I've just bought a Nord Electro 6 HP, mainly for piano gigs. I often "self-drive" a small p.a. and use a pre-recorded track to balance the piano. On previous keys there has been a facility to record and store a short track. I don't see this in the new keys, so what's the best way around it?

Thanks

G

You should be able to create a program with a long one-shot sample or a looping sample, then set the Release time to max (on the NS3 it's 45 seconds) than play a note and make your adjustments while the sample continues to play.

The other option would be to play a midi file from a phone or tablet through the NE6.

carry a brick with you to all your gigs and put it on the sustain pedal and you'll get more than 45 seconds...

...or go into the System Menu and reverse the sustain pedal polarity setting (or reverse it on the pedal itself if possible), and you won't have to keep carrying that damned brick around ;-)

Or use keyboard hold?
