I was playing around with my Nord Lead 2X and remembered the "secret filter" easter egg (the additional filter type that becomes selectable if you press Shift+Filter).
I got the curiosity to try if there are others hidden tricks, so I tried all the possible Shift+Button combinations not listed in the manual. And I found there are indeed more hidden shortcuts! I don't know if they are already known, but I thought it useful to list them all in one place.
Shift+Filter Type = secret filter
Shift+LFO1 waveform = the display shows the values of the knobs as they are turned
Shift+Mod Env = the keyboard returns directly to the first stored program (program 1, or performance A01 when in performance mode)
Also, something happens when pressing Shift+Filter Velocity or Filter Tracking: the display cycles through all the program numbers (as if it was performing a dump?) but there seem to be no other changes.
Anybody already knew this?

I read about some NL easter eggs some time ago https://www.gearslutz.com/board/electro ... p-2-a.html and http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-45526.html

Oh yes of course there's Pelle Mode too (in the Lead 1 and 2, not in the 2X).
But that's an entirely different engine, these are more like hidden utilities-shortcuts.

Number values for knobs? That's HUGE for sharing programs! Now I wish there were a function like on the microKORG where it would let you know what the initial value of that parameter was.

The thing is, it displays the numeric value as you're turning the knob, which I've found useful for matching arpeggio rates across slots, but it's not like you can get a readout of the value stored in a program. If that's what you want, just dump the program using sysex over MIDI, and look at it in a binary editor.

As Ricard pointed out, unfortunately that's not exactly the case. When you activate the function by pressing Shift+LFO1, the display shows a number which MAY be (not sure about that) the value of the last knob turned. To visualize the values of other knobs, you have to turn them one by one...and of course you lose the original stored value in the process. So it's not really a way to know the original values of programs already in the memory.
But it's useful as a tool while building your own programs, to be able to remember and reproduce exactly some key parameters. For example, as Ricard mentioned, it's great if you want to synchronize LFO and/or arpeggio rates. There are some factory programs where the tempos are in perfect sync, and I always wondered how on earth they could do it...now I know!
