Hi
I'm trying to find a decent Bagpipe sound for ACDC's Long Way to the Top.
I've not had much luck with the intro to Copperhead Road either.
Has anyone got a suggestion ?
Thanks Peter

Re: Bagpipes
Hi Alex
Thanks for the response.
Sadly I couldn't find any bagpipes on SC sounds although I notes that someone else also said they had one. Going blind I guess.
I might try to program one again and do a better job on the tricky overtones and vibrato.
There's also that distinctive percussive sound at the beginning of each note that makes it unique.
I'll keep trying
Thanks again

Re: Bagpipes
What about the samples that other users have uploaded on the same thread? Have you tried them and were not suitable for you?
User samples most times do not sound so good as they are, but with some eq and effects you can make them usable. You could also try to layer a bagpipe sample with a subtle organ sound that would add some harmonics, by changing the drawbar settings and the distortion amount maybe you could get a sound you like.

Re: Bagpipes
Here's the one that I use. I'm not sure that I remember where it came from so I can't give it the proper credit it deserves.
It's good for solos and distant parades, depending on how you treat it with effects.
