Nord next to the wall

Postby lukaszt » 28 Aug 2019, 17:44

Hi,
in home environment, I need to move my Nord Stage 3 so that it's right in front of the wall now.
This creates some amplification issues for me - as it's quite hard to use the existing monitors Presonus Eris E5 -- as they're too big to mount so close on the wall.

Does anyone happen to have faced the similar issues and have found out a way? Do I need to look for some flat wall mounted speakers, or in-wall? Or smaller E 3.5s?
I'm looking for some elegant solution, as it's a bedroom, so I don't want this to be messy, bulky etc. yet sound good enough for the price of nord...

Many thanks for any advice!

Lukasz.

Here is my bedroom setup, but I am not picky when just playing my NS3. When mixing, I face the speakers. Very cramped, but it all fits:

I put a small shelf over my keyboards, where I have a small computer screen in the middle and space for speakers at each side.

Can also chip in on another tip for putting the keyboard right up to the wall: Get angled cable adapters and angled power/USB/MIDI cords so You get close without bending cables or having to put distance between wall and keyboard for safety reasons.
I do these for all my 6,3 outputs, phones, pedals, and it works great!

I have an old leftover PC 5.1 speaker setup. Nothing I'd recommend to anyone...;)

When I want good sound I put on my headphones.

Hi,

At home, I also have my piano against the wall. Having a BOSE L1 compact on each side of your chair with only using one pole each it is a perfect solution for me.

The picture is from a life setup, but basically it is the same.

Cheers,

Eumel
