Hi Guys,
Several times, I read that the Vent 2 is superior and that the differences with an Internal Sim becomes even more apparent if the Organ clone is in stereo....
What about IEM? Is the stereo "filed/space" brought by a good pair of powered speakers is a bit part of the improvement? I mean, in IEM, it's really close to you, to your ears? Too much maybe? Do you hear the same improvements? And your bandmate that are on IEM appreciate it as well or is it the opposite, powered speakers being better as monitor than IEM...Just for that utilization of course....

I have used my Vent II with a band that played all IEMs. It's a HUGE stereo field. Same for all the other stereo effects -- chorus, reverb, pan, etc. So much so that I had to soften the left and right pan. But it sounded VERY cool

None of my current bands are into IEMs, so it's powered speakers for me these days. I'm not going to say one is inherently "better" than the other, it's just a very different experience. With powered speakers, you feel the music. With IEMs, you hear every nuance.

Ok suoer, thanks....So, you are not playing anymore with the Dreadfull dead band? Because my understanding is that you were on IEM with them and on speakers with your Lounge trio....

I've used a NS2 with the original Vent and IEMs since 2011 and I am now using the NS3 for many gigs as well, also through the original Vent. It sounds amazing through IEMs. There is even the rotor sound there when you're not playing. It's a very seductive sound and I can't get enough of it.

I have the Vent II at rehearsal space. I personally like the first Vent a little better than Vent II. It's largely subjective, but I feel like the first one is just a little more woody sounding and it also has fewer controls which means less things to mess with and potentially impact the sound in not the right way.

IEMs are the best single musical investment in my career. I use custom molded IEMs from Ultimate Ears with a wireless system. LOVE IT.

Ok thanks a lot Eric and CPhollis, so, my new IEM won't put aside the purchase of the Vent II.
