I slammed a key and now it is nearly silent in piano mode...

Can Nord weights break? I f**** up thinking they weren’t real weights so wouldn’t break, but I slammed a key and now it is playing very quietly in piano mode, but plays just fine on organ mode. I also played an outdoor show over the weekend and some picnic beetles crawled into my keys. Everything I see on other topics points to dirt in the contacts, but it’s strange that it happened suddenly when I was playing really hard. Thoughts?

Nothing to do with weights. It could be that the rubber contact strip has just "moved" (lifted) under that key, or that you broke one of the two "teeths" under the key that press the two high/low contacts... you have to open the keyboard and inspect it (or take it to service).

PS: hi and welcome to NUF...
