Nord 1 Rack - Installing Voice Expansion Board

Postby MusicDog » 07 Jul 2019, 05:15

Curious if anyone has ever installed the voice expansion board in a Nord Rack? Wondering how hard it is? Any advice welcome. Thanks!

I just did. Fairly painless. Does require opening, screwing in the board, and attaching the ribbon cable. If you feel you're pretty handy and take care, shouldn't be too hard. You just need a Phillips head screwdriver, your fingers, the board, the ribbon cable, and four screws.

And I guess a PCMCIA card now that you can use one to store your patches. Good hunting!

Now, an eprom chip upgrade - that's another story...
