Re: Stage 3 76 Key Making Clicking Noise
The low E clicking noise issue was corrected by putting a couple of small washers on the case screw. This way the screw does not go so far into the keyboard as to make contact with the low E key. No more wiggling case. Good as new!

Re: Stage 3 76 Key Making Clicking Noise
Hi
i am new in the board - i have an Stage 3 and als an Keys rattle.
i found out, if i open the Nordstage a little bit (only 1 mm) the rattle from the keyboard is over.
also i found out - the key are going against the top Cover - only a few keys in the middle - because the top Cover (easy field) is not 100% straight from left zu right
it is bend in the little bit (very very little) - the rattle was from the beginning.
now i am looking for an idea to keep the from Cover 1mm higher.
Any ideas ?
Greetings from Germany
Alexander

Re: Stage 3 76 Key Making Clicking Noise
no more key ratteling !!! Here is one Solution
i found a solution - i put an 1mmm Washer in the Stage (see Foto IMG_2482)- an tape it, to make sure it stays on that place.
The Screw from the bottom was a little to short, so i left the washer there away an glue the crew a little bit.
and put all Screws back in place and now there is a perfect distance (1mm) between the top und the keys (see Foto IMG_2483
No more Key ratteling- Juhu.
Greetings

Re: Stage 3 76 Key Making Clicking Noise
I think I have the same problem. When pressing the key down lightly, you can’t hear anything. When pressing it down medium to hard, you can hear a snapping noise when key is downward connecting with the bottom. When holding the key down hard for 10-20 seconds, the noise goes away for about 5-20 min. How can I fix this myself without having it sent to a repair shop where they might cause more damage to it being transported around and opened up by someone?

Try a search here. It had been discussed numerous times and there are nice descriptions with images and all that show you how to lubricate the keys ...Chriscdl7 wrote:I think I have the same problem. I just had the same exact issue as you had. Got one shipped in and there was a nice dent in the front of the chassis. Low E had a hard thunk and it turned out to be the screw. That's now 2/3 instruments I've shipped with FedEx that ended up with problems, so maybe I'm gonna stop using them.
