That is correct -- the HP model's chassis is not fitted to accept the half moon switch.

How do you open the "systems menu" in order to select the correct setting for my new half moon switch?

Hold down the SHIFT key and press the button that says SYSTEM four buttons to the left. Setting number 7 should be "rotary control type". Hold shift and turn to the right until "half moon" is displayed and you should be all set.

Thank you VERY much neworleans. It's really a simple thing, but I could not find how to access "System" anywhere ...
All is good and working properly now.
