As others have also hinted at, it might be worthwhile to check out the other new EPs too... but only you can decide, of coursemal7896 wrote:no just Nefertiti. The only one I use

Re: Meh?
Ok, so, if you are short memory wise, the 4 new EP are the first ones to download, right? And then maybe 6, but EP 7 and 8, no really need...

Agreed.baekgaard wrote:Some of the other samples have changed much more, in particular the EP1 to EP4 that have gone from "just there" to "fun to play".
For me the v6 EPs have made it so I don't always reach for the Nefertiti, which was the case before. It's overall a much more solid range of EPs, which means I'm tweaking less and just bringing up the sound I like best for what I'm doing at the moment. Add in the filters (sorry Stage 2 and Piano 3 folks ) and I'm even starting to contemplate not using the SV-1's EPs whenever I'm using two boards.

Re: Meh?
Maybe the v6 update will open up for better acoustic pianos too in the future. If so I'm glad that they included the NP3. I noticed today that the information on the display about piano size (S, M, L or XL) is gone after the latest os-update. I wonder why...

Re: Meh?
I couldn't tell much of a difference either through my amp. The thing is, these EP's are so old school that a little sparkle here and there really makes no difference imho. The ones I had previously does perfectly fine for me (I think they sound fantastic as they were) and uses less memory.

Re: Meh?
Agree the EP8 doesnt seem to have changed much from before, but it was already good.
+1 for feeling like the new EP1/2 has Much more bite now, it felt very lazy before and now is much nicer to play. The new dyno filters are good too depending on what sound you are needing.
Before the changes, EP8 was my goto Rhodes sample 100% of the time whereas now I'm playing EP1 & 2 over the 8
