The best accessory for Nord keyboards is a great place to play them. Well, after you figure out the amplification thing.
Understand what they can do, dial them in, hear their glory, etc.
A lot of you seem to have some killer studio space set up. Congratulations!
I've finally dialed in my rehearsal space to a new level, and -- well -- it's really helping me musically. Total eargasm when it all gets cooking?
My wife rehabs and rents houses. I'd get to use a space in between projects and rentals. I've been in four different music houses over the last few years. Well, sort of rough, so I said "let's do a dedicated music house OK?" There was negotiation involved, but eventually she was in.
Last fall, we found the place. A sad little house with potential. A third of an acre on a busy street. Concrete block construction (important in Florida). The airport is behind us. We can make noise if we want, no one is going to complain. The floor plan is basically one big room in the center, with beds and kitchens and such as attachments.
We had to do some basic rehab, as the property had been neglected for many years. Get rid of the rats, repair the damage, new electrical, etc. But now it's up and running, and it's amazing. I can get 7-9 musos into the space, more than enough.
I hung $$$ acoustic foam off the walls. Bass traps in the corners. Rugs and curtains everywhere. Ceiling is treated as well. Ain't no reverb in this space, no matter how loud you play. Oh, BTW, wifi cameras if anyone decides to drop by. Nice track lighting.
Default sound system is a pair of $$$ Fulcrum Acoustic 12acs. Go look them up, stupid money, stupid specs. If people want floor monitors, we've got the infamous RCF TT08-a units all around.
I bring different groups over, they're always blown away by the stunning acoustics. As am I. It's forcing me to dial in my Nords for the premium experience. "Good enough" isn't anymore.
Recording is a breeze, BTW. Just hit record on my laptop and the mixer takes it all in.
May you all find sonic bliss. My keys technique is taking a huge leap forward as a result.

+1+1+1+1
Unless the house is readily displayed for us here in cyberspace it cannot exist in actual space!!
Me - I've got a minimal walk-in closet which is still used for some storing as my music room.
On the plus side - there is absolutely no room to build up any echo.

Re: So, what's your studio space like?
You guys are killing me!
Here's why -- it's a house in the process of rehab, so it's really rough around the edges. Like only drywall up, and electrical is still rough. All the basics are done: roof doesn't leak, plumbing isn't an issue, rodents and bugs have been evicted, electrical works, AC works, etc. My wife and I buy these really rough houses, and then rehab them inside out. They sparkle when we're done.
But -- acoustically -- I've been able to dial it up in the meantime. Every one loves the vibe, and performs well as a result.
So I'm reluctant to post pics of a fugly space, but -- maybe with a little clever angling, I could do it.
The good news is that the rehearsals and recordings we're getting are surprisingly good, mostly due to the lack of reverb and warm, intimate atmosphere. We run the PA raw, no effects, so everyone can hear what they REALLY sound like.
BTW, JayDee, I didn't know bars made out of pianos were a thing until you shared that. Curse you I'm thinking about it really hard as a result ...

Of course they are. I am building on at the moment for my cousin. Not finished yet, but mostly done.

What analogika hamburg looked like before last Monday's water damage.
The B3 and Rhodes were in the recording room on the other side of that window.
and as of 8 p.m. yesterday (no major damage, from the looks of it — only an inch or two of water, but everything had to be removed due to the moisture):
'Twas a cosy place.

Thanks.
I’m currently reassessing my options.
The bunker explosion that destroyed my rehearsal space with the other Rhodes, D6 Clav, 1960 Hammond A100, 1968 Hammond P100, Leslie 145, blackface Twin Reverb, JC120, CX3, Viscount OP6, Hammond T100, and various smaller stuff back in 2015 hurt a lot more...
