NE5 (HP) customisation

Hi all

In the past there's been some cool threads on customisation. Thinking of doing similar with my NE5 HP which is now out of warranty.


I wondered if anyone had, for any reason, taken the top plate off one of these. From what I recall from the NE3 it was a case of undoing some screws and then unclipping an electronic cable (keeping the main circuit board and knobs attached to the top plate). But I don't know if the presence of the LED split lights changes things...
