Sound Manager do not want convert nsmp to nsmp3

Hi!

I'm starting to use my new NS3 after couple of years with NS2.

NS3 is OS v2.02 and Sound Manager is v7.40 and when i want import any of my nsmp it takes me:

"Download Failed. File extension for (filename) (nsmp) is not supported by this instrument. Please use a file of correct type, and try again." (screenshot added below)

So for now i'm not able to put any of my sounds, and from Sound Manager v7.22 this should be executable. I'm looking for this Sample Converter but is not available anymore as i see...

Any one have the same problem?

Hi,

have a similar setup: NS3C OS v2.02 and Sound Manager v7.40, and no problems loading nsmp files into the NS3C with Sound Manager (Windows version, did not try OSX up to now), it does the conversion and download to the instrument without any error message - maybe there's something wrong with the sample? If you want to post it here I can check if it works with both Sound Manager for Windows and Sound Manager for OSX

There has been an issue though with the Sample Converter, which did not convert some .nsmp samples into .nsmp3, but Sound Manager did (so even more stable functionality with Sound Manager than with Sample Converter). I reported this to Nord's support, got no response from them but a couple of days later the Sampe Converter disappeared from their website.

I can confirm Hervshahn,
I have a NS2 and NS3 c; no problem to convert the samples to nsmp3 format.

It does not work if you mark a spot in organize mode and chose "download".
Use drag and drop!

Thanks guys for your time!

After some tweaks with my almost gone NS2 and sound manager - converting with NS3 started to work without any problems.. Some magic happened;)

And couple of words about Converter - it works for me only with fresh .nsmp files from Sample Manager. If i have same .nsmp but it is downloaded from NS2 to disk - there is an error and Converter doesn't work.

Yes this issue has been discovered some time ago and reported to Nord, after which they have removed the Converter from their website. Sound Manager does the job better
