Thanks to Google:
"Hi Testing in Swedish .... Then think about changing my dear NS 2 HA 88 towards newer Nord ... Then it becomes an important thing about the difference on all keyboards ?? If you are going to continue with hammers action or actually move on to more easily ... You can really wonder differences ..
1. Only then compares NS 3 88 with my current NS 2 HA 88. I think NS 3 88 works easier (which I like) but is it really so or fancy?
2. Then when NS 3 HP 76. Hammer action Portable What is this? Totally different or does it feel like the 88th? Then then 73 Compact Waterfall ... Is well type Electro I guess.
Then you can't even blend in with Nord piano 4. Is its keyboard like NS 3 88? Is there something about "3 dynamic curves" on this one. Is this missing at NS 3 88? Sometimes you do not know whether Clavia Nord states everything in his information. Possibly someone who has a little check on these things?'
Can't help you much, since I have no idea what you're after ... sorry.
I think I have gear issues ....

Yes, equivalent to the Electro SW.Then then 73 Compact Waterfall ... Is well type Electro I guess.
I don't know if there are differences in the dynamic curves, but one difference is that the NP4 uses 3 sensors per key instead of 2, which allows you to restrike a key without have to lift it as high. It is helpful for things like quiet repetitions and trills, and for being able to restrike a key without silencing it first (i.e. even if the sustain pedal isn't down).Nord piano 4. Re: Nord stage 3 och Nord piano 4
Please try to post in English — there are many here whose first language is not English, but with Google translate and lots of good will, we've always managed here.
The Stage 3 features the same "3 dynamic curves" as the Nord Piano 4 via the button labelled "Kbd Touch" on the piano section.
I cannot offer preference on the different hammer actions (HA vs. HP), as I use the SW waterfall compact, but the Nord Piano has triple sensors, which "probably makes NP3 being capable of faster repetitions and more dynamic nuances than in the NS3, giving a more piano-like experience than NS3", according to this thread (comparing the Nord Stage 3 and the Nord Piano 3):

The HP is apparently a lot lighter to play than the HA, and is optimised for easy transport.
I have read that the HA on the Stage is slightly lighter to the touch than on the Nord Piano, but I have not compared the two.

Actually, even though it is lighter to carry around, most people find it heavier to play.analogika wrote:The HP is apparently a lot lighter to play than the HA, and is optimised for easy transport.

Ah, okay. Thanks for straightening that out.anotherscott wrote:Actually, even though it is lighter to carry around, most people find it heavier to play.analogika wrote:The HP is apparently a lot lighter to play than the HA, and is optimised for easy transport.
I am obviously not qualified to comment on the piano actions.

Re: Nord stage 3 och Nord piano 4
My very subjective opinion: I had a NS2 HP 76, which I returned because I just could not get warm with the key action. Especially fast repetitions were not working for me, and even piano phrasing felt strange and didn't get better for me. Now I am proud owner of a NS3 HA 88, and I find it indeed easier to play, with way better repetition (e.g. for those funky clavinets etc.). I have to add that I come from an Electro 3 73, and obviously that keybed is even better for organ and fast action (but not for piano ballads etc.).anotherscott wrote:Actually, even though it is lighter to carry around, most people find it heavier to play.analogika wrote:The HP is apparently a lot lighter to play than the HA, and is optimised for easy transport.
Cheers!

Re: Nord stage 3 och Nord piano 4
Actually, the NP4 has 3 dynamic curves (KBD TOUCH 1, 2 and 3), whereas the NS3 has 4 (KBD TOUCH NORMAL, 1, 2 and 3). I think NP4 touch 1 is possibly the closest you get to the NS3 Normal touch.analogika wrote: The Stage 3 features the same "3 dynamic curves" as the Nord Piano 4 via the button labelled "Kbd Touch" on the piano section.
Indeed. The keys are also different; the actual physical weight needed to play the keys is higher on the NP4 compared to the NS3. On my NP4, I need approximately 25% more weight on a key to make it sound.analogika wrote: I have read that the HA on the Stage is slightly lighter to the touch than on the Nord Piano, but I have not compared the two.
I think the curves may also be different. They feel biased in a different way. The NP4 is more like playing a piano, so if you're mainly a piano player, the NP4 is an excellent choice.
But you will typically adjust quickly to both; I use both interchangeably -- but have a preference for the NP4 when it comes to acoustic piano playing.
