Hey all,
I'm picking up some transformer buzz in my Lead A1 whenever it's powered on. It's out of warranty, and I'm not really interested in shipping it back and forth for a minor annoyance like this, but I'd like to know if anybody has experienced this before and if:
1. it gets worse?
2. it can be fixed by ordering a part and just replacing it myself? (I'm rather handy with electronics, even power electronics, having built my own power supplies before.)
I'll contact Nord about this too but hoping to mine the knowledge of the forum at the same time.
Thanks all!

This is normal behavior, shouldn't get any louder. Mine has done that since it was new. Lots of threads on this if you search-

Re: Transformer buzz in Lead A1
I just checked mine, as I'd never noticed a buzz before. There is a buzz, but I can only really hear it if I put my ear within a few cm of the board. At playing position I can't hear it at all. Is yours worse than that? Transformer buzz is a fact of life, but it can deteriorate. I guess the main factors are mechanical clearance developing within the transformer, at its mounting points in the power supply, and in the power supply mounting to the casing. If you do open up the keyboard you could at least check that everything's tight.

Yes, it's worse than that - it's about the loudness of a quiet conversation across the room. I can hear it easily 3 metres away from the keyboard if nothing else is playing.I may open it up and check the mounting screws if that's worse than everybody else's buzz, good point.
