Hi Guys,
I think I'm losing my mind. I was creating a synth patch and I pulled up two sounds and detuned them easily, with the number of cents showing on the OLED. Fast forward 15 minutes, I decided to start over and I cannot for the life of me get back to that spot. No matter what I do, it wants to adjust the detune by semi-tones. What am I missing? Thanks in advance - John

Re: NS3 synth detune setting
The manual says this:
Best regards, Alex
DETUNE
With the Detune configuration Oscillator 2 provides a copy of Oscillator 1, which can be both coarsely tuned in semi tone intervals and fine tuned in small increments.
OSC2/PITCH adjusts the pitch of Oscillator 2 in semi tones, and OSC CTRL is used for fine tuning within a range of four semitones.
Best regards, Alex

Thanks Alex. I've got that part, but apart from that I was in a spot where you could actually set it to a specific number of cents. The fine tuning is just a value within that range of four semitones and doesn't have the same sound.

A specific number of cents? Is that some patch cooking book receipt? I'm curious, and in fact would be nice if NS3 has an OS update that improve this on the synth screen, But I guess I had never see any synth with that feature.

Re: NS3 synth detune setting
The Minimoog Voyager is one synth that displays detune by cents AFAIK, so probably all other moogs since then that have patch storage do, too. And i know my SY77 had it, almost thirty years ago (still with me).
It seems totally sensible to have detune by cents.

Re: NS3 synth detune setting
The knob labeled osc2 pitch is for semitones.
The knob under that called osc control is the one for fine tuning.
On the synth display it shows as a digital knob but on the left display it shows as steps from 0.00-4.00 and the smallest steps beeing 0.03
Maybe this is what you mean?
