Was it mostly just more memory? Or did they ever add features between an ex?

Only the Piano memory between 2 and 2EX (see comparison charts on Nordkeyboards web site, NS2EX page).
Between Classic and EX instead they added also String Resonance (not present on Classic)
3EX? Who knows if/when/what?

Well, if I have to wait quite a lot for the stage 3 compact, it might even be a 3EX for me, you're right...

Also the Stage 2 EX HP76 has a totally different keybed to the Stage 2 HA76.
I'm personally happy with either, so the reduced weight of the keyboard was the deciding factor for me (12.4 vs 16.5 Kg).
